WEB_DESC:This session focuses on international coordination for radio spectrum management. The up-coming WRC-19 will determine the use of certain portion of spectrum for the next four years and beyond, in particular to support 5G. In preparation to WRC-19, regional organizations are formulating regional positions to be used as starting points for negotiations at WRC-19. Regional coordination and interaction at interregional level are recognized as essential means for successful negotiations at WRC. In this regard, this session aims to address three questions: 1) How are regional organizations conducting preparatory activities? 2) What are the drivers to current regional positions? 3) What are the prospects for international agreements at WRC-19?
