WEB_DESC:The effectiveness of broadband investment and policy measures in a variety of markets are identified in this session which highlights the cutting-edge research of the PTC 2019 Young Scholars. Rigorously gathered empirical data and analytics are presented to show the impact of high-speed broadband on company creation, and business growth. Next, the effects of community broadband networks in rural areas is illuminated. Finally, a virtual model is applied to show national broadband policy and network deployments can be evaluated to plan and predict outcomes.

The PTC Young Scholars presenting in this session will present substantiated results of broadband deployment and approaches for understanding how best to maximize the social and economic benefits of connectivity.
