The emergence and rapid adoption of 5G has brought about new possibilities in network design. As we navigate this changing landscape, and think of computing at the edge—is it more important for the network to be flexible, or for compute itself to be flexible? In this talk, Tom Paseka of Cloudflare will discuss how networks around the world can be better interconnected at the edge and what this means for new possibilities across the Internet. He'll also discuss how providers around the world are thinking about edge compute. With this, Tom will elaborate on how 5G and network architectures are looking to evolve, how this enables new network design possibilities in the horizon and explain exactly how the network can be interconnected at the edge.
