Bio:Chris Johnson is President of Boeing Satellite Systems International, Inc. (BBSI), the world’s leading manufacturer of commercial communications satellites. BBSI is a Boeing subsidiary that oversees the strategy, integration and execution of Boeing’s commercial satellite business. In this role, Johnson is responsible for general management of all Boeing commercial satellites, ground systems and services contracts. Prior to this role, he held executive positions in program management and business development for government space systems and services spanning the navigation, communication, civil and special mission areas. He has also held senior manager and chief architect roles, and was responsible for the definition of future space solutions for multiple commercial and government programs. He started his career in attitude control and flight operations joining Boeing as an intern in 1998. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Kansas. He also received a Master of Science degree in systems architecting and engineering, and a master of business administration, both from the University of Southern California.
