Bio:In September 2014, Fabien founded the Swiss company Astrocast, which operates a global and cost-effective nano-satellites IoT network.
Fabien is widely recognized for his work on Switzerland’s first satellite, SwissCube, a highly successful satellite mission initially projected to have a one-year lifespan, but that still remains fully functional in orbit today, an impressive nine years post-launch. Fabien’s SwissCube contributions include his expertise in all electrical developments of the spacecraft while serving as Electrical Systems Engineer for the Swiss Space Center EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Fabien’s engineering expertise also spans technical work for the PanCam WAC Instrument of the 2018 ExoMars Mission (during phase B) while at the Space Exploration Institute in Neuchatel, Switzerland.
Fabien obtained his Electrical Engineering Degree with a specialization in Energy Systems, from the University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon where he leads Astrocast from the company’s U.S. offices.
