Bio:Dr. Catherine Middleton is the Interim Director of the Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management at Ryerson University, in Toronto, Canada and a former Canada Research Chair. She is an expert on broadband policy in Canada and internationally and has led research projects investigating the value of public Wi-Fi, Canadian spectrum policy, and the use of mobile technologies in organizations. Current research projects include Ageing + Communication +Technology (actproject.ca) and Bridging the Technology Skills Gap: New Evidence-Based Approaches to Leveraging Diversity (developing strategies to expand the talent pool for information and communications technology sector jobs and advance inclusion. She was recently elected to serve a three-year term on the ARIN Board of Trustees (American Registry for Internet Numbers), and is a past Chair of the Board of CANARIE, Canada’s national research and education network.
