WEB_DESC:Diversity and Inclusion – now Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – have been on corporations’ lists of priorities for a number of years. Starting with the MeToo# movement, and building to a crescendo in the United States Black Lives Matter protests, and more broadly, there has been a tectonic shift in that focus in 2020. Further seismic shifts are anticipated for 2021 and beyond. Once focused on such activities as celebrating Black History month and conducting unconscious bias training, companies are now focusing on how to address structural and systemic issues facing the companies and their employees. In this session, “Diversity and Inclusion as a Business Imperative in Our New Reality”, we will explore these challenges and opportunities from the perspective of the world's digital infrastructure company (Equinix) and a leading Middle East investment firm (Emirates Investment Authority). It is a fireside chat format and will explore the challenges and approaches to achieve true diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizations, particularly in the context of a post-pandemic world.
