Bio:An information and communication technology for development (ICT4D) professional. His research interests include health informatics, human-computer interaction, telehealth, electronic health records, and community big data specifically to design high-quality, and cost-effective value-based healthcare delivery systems for unreached communities in low-resource settings. His startup ‘dot+’ has been awarded as an ‘Excellence Project’ by Kyushu University, and Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. He is aspired to make technology as a tool to determine the deficiency in expected results and actual outputs to establish social equity and good governance in emerging economies. Dr. Mehdi is working on a book ‘Telemedicine Systems for Unreached Communities-Context, Challenges and Opportunities’ with other two co-editors. The book will be published by the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hertfordshire, UK. He is also a reviewer of the International Journal of Advanced Computer Science and Applications, Saga University, Japan.
