Bio:Eric Cevis is Group President of Verizon Partner Solutions for Verizon Communication Services Inc., responsible for domestic and international wholesale revenue growth and strategy; including marketing, sales, customer service and wholesale business operations. He was named to this position in March 2014 to grow a $5 billion dollar revenue business and lead full P&L for the thousands of employees under his direction across the Global Wholesale industry. He has exceeded industry and business revenue targets for each year he has been in this leadership role; as well as each of the 30 plus years he has been in the telecommunications/technology industry. Prior to his current assignment, Cevis was vice president of Sales for the Americas region within Verizon Global Wholesale. His responsibilities included Sales and Account Management functions for a variety of wholesale customers including mid-market carriers, major telecom providers, Wireless carriers, Internet Service Providers, IXCs, CLECs, MSOs/Cable Companies, CDNs, Cloud Companies, and System Integrators in North America, Latin America, EMEA and Asia Pac regions. He was also accountable for Channel Strategy, Sales Support, Sales Process and Governance, Revenue Generation/Reporting, Account Planning and Channel Development. Previously, Mr. Cevis was vice president of Verizon Enhanced Communities where he was responsible for the delivery of bundled communications services (voice, data, and video) to entire communities, including new construction and existing retrofit multi-dwelling units (MDU), new-construction single family, student, military and affordable housing as well as access agreements for small/medium business multi-tenant units, via Verizon FiOS fiber based network architecture. Prior to that, Mr. Cevis was vice president, business channel development, for Verizon's Retail Markets group. This assignment focused on establishing partnerships for the introduction of value-added services, such as gaming, movie and music, as well as creating alternative retail distribution channels for the company's broadband product suite. Mr. Cevis was vice president - business wholesale marketing for the Broadband Solutions Group within Retail Markets. In this capacity, Mr. Cevis was responsible for the DSL product line management for Verizon's business and wholesale customers. Mr. Cevis also held several positions with Verizon Enterprise Solutions Group, vice president of sales for the Internet Service Provider market and vice president of sales for emerging markets. Mr. Cevis began his career in 1986 as a staff supervisor for the Government/Federal Systems Division of Bell Atlantic. Mr. Cevis has served as the national program chair of the National Eagle Leadership Institute (NELI) and served on their Advisory Board. He currently is a member and the Chair of the Advisory Board for Verizon’s Employee Resource Group, Black Resource Association of Verizon Employees (BRAVE). Has served on the Boards of the National Multi Housing Council, and Verizon Washington, DC. He is also the Executive Champion for Disabilities Issues Awareness Leaders (DIAL), a Verizon employee resource group. Eric serves as a member for the Executive Leadership Council (ELC), Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School Of Business Board, and former member of the World Trade Center (WTC) Board. Listed as “Power 100” in Global Telecoms Business magazine in 2014. In 2016 he was recognized as ‘Prominent Patriot’ by his alma mater, George Mason University, and in 2018 Savoy Magazine recognized him as one of the “Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Cevis received a B.S. degree in Marketing Management from George Mason University in 1986. He continued his educational pursuits at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania in 1996.
