Bio:Dean Bubley (@disruptivedean) is Founder of Disruptive Analysis, an independent technology industry analyst and consulting firm. An analyst & futurist with over 25 years’ experience, he specialises in wireless, telecoms, and advanced technologies.
He is known as a contrarian, often with challenging opinions that go against industry consensus. His present focus is on 5G/6G/WiFi/satellite networks, the “future of voice and video”, spectrum policy, telco strategy & IoT. He advises on telco service creation & monetisation, ecosystems, broad futurism, and telecoms regulation/spectrum policy. His clients include many of the world’s leading telecom operators, vendors, regulators, and industry associations.
Mr. Bubley was formerly an equity analyst, covering communications stocks with investment bank Granville Baird. Prior to that, he spent eight years at UK research firm Datamonitor, where he was a director of the technology practice and managed the Internet & networking programme, with roles of Chief Analyst & Director of Consulting.
He holds a BA in Physics from Keble College, Oxford University.
